Jenna Ashlyn Perrone, 37, of College Station, Texas, departed this life on May 20, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas where she was being treated for brain cancer. Born on February 15, 1989, Jenna grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, making many lifelong friends she loved dearly and kept close throughout her life. She was active in her faith as a parishioner of St. Laurence Catholic Church where she was involved in the Life Teen ministry for many years.
Jenna graduated from Clements High School in 2007, cherishing her time in sports medicine as a trainer assisting student athletes. She later earned her BS degree in Interior Design from the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Architecture. She then worked in the interior design field for close to 15 years and truly loved her role in design and working on projects with her cohorts. During her career, she contributed to many projects in corporate, healthcare, commercial, and private environments.
Often described as an “old soul,” Jenna was uninterested in trends or social media, preferring genuine connection and authenticity. She never sought the spotlight, yet she was confident, honest, and unafraid to speak up when it mattered. Enjoying country music, she didn’t have a playlist as she preferred listening to the radio. Her affinity for tattoos was evident but subtle. Jenna had a gorgeous smile, a surprising and quick wit, and an adorable giggle which paired perfectly with her welcoming spirit. She was naturally kindhearted and had a lifelong love of animals, particularly rescues like her own dog Ozzy, and two cats, Wilson and Sully. Her dream was to one day develop a small sanctuary to care for abandoned animals.
Jenna was a devoted daughter and a loving older sister who cared greatly for her brother and sisters. She is survived by her mother, Julie Perrone of Bryan; her father and his wife, Tommy and Vy Perrone of Carmel, Indiana; her brother, John Thomas Perrone of Houston; her sisters Rita, Michelle, and Penelope; and her grandmother, Mary Perrone of Bryan, Texas. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Mike Perrone; her maternal grandparents, J.O. and Margaret Lewis; her cousin, Olivia Maeker; and her aunt, Judy Perrone Endler.
A vigil and Rosary will be held at Memorial Funeral Home in Bryan on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. (Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m.). A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bryan at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, followed by burial at College Station City Cemetery and a luncheon at the Monsignor Malinowski Center from 12:30PM - 2PM
Donations may be made in Jenna’s name to the ASPCA or to a favorite animal welfare organization of your choice honoring her lifelong love of animals.
