What a wonderful woman. John worked for her many years ago, before Manuel died. She was such a hard worker, she said many times that "idle hands are the devils workshop" and that if a little boy wasn't messing up anything then he wasn't doing anything. She holds a special place in my life and heart.

Am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Gerke's passing - my prayers for the family. She was a force to be reckoned with, and loved and cherished by all who knew her. Every time I saw her, she always made me smile, and I will always have cherished memories of her.

I was always moved by her love and compassion towards me, her granddaughter, Callie Gerke, and her great grandson, Auden Emanuel Gerke. She was an inspiration and amazing woman.

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Gerke. She was so kind to Callie and Auden Emmanuel. I know she will be greatly missed. The sweet memories Callie has shared are treasures of her grandmother. What a precious legacy.
