

With her eyes fixed on Jesus, passed away peacefully, with her son at her side, at Golden Years Nursing Home, on Saturday, February 18, 2006.
Stella was a lifelong member of St. Clement’s Church. She was an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry, a member of the Adult and Resurrection Choirs, and played the organ on occasion for funerals and masses. She was drawn with compassion to helping those who found life to be a challenge. Predeceased by her husband Frank Pawelko; parents Anthony and Elsie (Humeniski) Barban. She will be greatly missed and remembered lovingly by her daughters Sandra and her husband David (Fleming ) of Cobden; Peggy and Rick (Johnson) of Barrie; Karen and Ian (Webster) of Merritt, B.C.; and her son Tom and his wife Sharon of Cambridge; her grandchildren Scott and his partner Chera (Fleming) of Whitehorse, N.W.T; Andrew of Toronto, Ben of Toronto and Emily (Johnson) of Barrie; Robyn and Megan (Webster) of Merritt, B.C.; Peter, David, Melissa and Nathan (Pawelko) of Cambridge; and by her sister Helen (Wehrle) and Wally Neil of Cambridge. She will be sadly missed by many other family members and friends.
Family will receive friends and relatives at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A celebration of her life and a Christian Burial Mass will be held at St. Clement’s Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to Lisaard House, 990 Speedsville Road, Cambridge, N3H 4R6 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
