Obituary

July 14, 1930 – July 22, 2022

Skrobot, LaVerne Virginia (nee Wilkowski), age 92, went to be with Jesus on July 22, 2022, while living in Fort Wayne, Indiana. LaVerne was born in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Antoinette Wilkowski on July 14, 1930. She was married on August 22,1953 to Chester Skrobot in Chicago, IL, who preceded her in death.

LaVerne was a devoted mother and is survived by Larry (Mira) Skrobot, Gary (Janice) Skrobot, Mary Jane (Daniel) Schreck, John Skrobot (Rachel Glenn). LaVerne was also a loving grandmother to 21 children and great-grandmother to 35 children.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her siblings: Ruth Ann (John) Kwiat, Lorraine (Mike) Kurnat, Dorothy Fitak, Joseph (Jean) Wilk, Vivian (Eddie) Siepak, and Terrance (Carol) Wilkowski.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60638. Everyone is meeting at the Chapel for the funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday August 29, 2022 at Maranatha Chapel 9755 S. Pulaski Road, Evergreen Park, Illinois 60805.
