Mr. Reeve Mikkelson

Reeve Cole Mikkelson Our Beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Reeve Cole Mikkelson was born in Chico, California on March 30, 1982 and passed away on June 17, 2017, on Father’s Day weekend. Reeve attended Chico High School and Butte College and majored in Music. He enjoyed his work at Tres Hombres, Black Crow, Sierra Nevada Brewery Restaurants and Seascape Resort in Aptos. He added joy and light to the lives of all who knew him. His unfiltered insights and impersonations of his family, friends and movie characters were a source of humor and contemplation. We will always remember his sweet smile, his genuine spirit and his desire to please. We bid him Godspeed as we celebrate his life on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at 4:00 PM with friends (all are welcome) and family at Joyce Mikkelson’s home, 940 El Monte Ave, Chico (corner of La Quinta). Reeve is survived by his parents, Jim and Joyce Mikkelson; his sister, Jamie Mikkelson Schoolfield; his Brother-in–Law, James Schoolfield; his niece, Carter Schoolfield; his grandmother, Margaret Tipton; his aunt, Gail Nottingham; his aunt and uncle, Margo and Gus Wolke; his uncle, Ray Beamen; his cousins, Brett, Melanie, Chloe, and Parker Nottingham, Noelle, Brian, Julia, Ethen and Matthew Turk, Victoria, Michael, Emma and Hugh Kavanagh, Greg Larson and Connie Geers. We imagine Reeve now with his Papa Bob Tipton building Heavenly Mansions; going fishing with his Grandpa Mike Mikkelson; getting kisses from his grandma Marge (Elle) Mikkelson; Barbequing with his uncle Buddy Nottingham; and doing stand-up comedy with Chico high school friend, Miles Knouse.
