Guy Lloyd Shepherd

Guy L. Shepherd, 54, passed away May 15, 2021 in Raleigh, NC. He was born in Goshen, IN and lived most of his life in the Elkhart area. A Skilled welder, Guy worked 23 years at Utilimaster. Six years ago he and his wife moved to Clayton, NC working in the RV industry as an experienced serviceman.

Left to hold cherished memories are his wife Gayle; mother Janice Burdine of Natural Bridge, VA.; sons Nicolas (Amber) and Brandon (Amanda)of IN and their families; half-brothers Rich (Rikki) and Jason and (Liz) of WY; step-daughter Arica of IN; eight grandchildren and many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Guy was predeceased by his father, Bob Shepheard; grandparents George and Raetta Shepherd, Lloyd and Ruth Mishler; and father in law William Russell.

Married march 18, 1994 Guy and Gayle spent many happy hours fishing at their favorite lake in Sothern MI. Not only passionate about fishing, Guy also loved mushroom hunting, Nascar (Denny Hamlin), ham radio, and the color blue. Guys outgoing personality formed strong friendships. His readiness to help someone when needed, knew no limits.

A wonderful husband and son a true friend – all that and more describes Guy. He will always be loved and missed by his family, many friends and beloved dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 10th from 6pm to 8 pm at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, NC.
