Inez "Kitty" Orrick Jacobs

Kitty was born in Knoxville, TN on August 26, 1939 a daughter to the late William and Rose Orrick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Captain George Taylor “Jake” Jacobs; son, Michael Ray Jacobs; brothers, Robert Orrick and Gale Orrick; and brother in law, JT Mealer.

Kitty was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by a grandson, Noah Jacobs; brother, Edgar “Ed” Orrick (Norma); sister, Imogene Mealer; several nieces and nephews; and close friends Deborah Jackson and Pam Evitt.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Forsyth Memorial Park’s Mausoleum Chapel, with entombment to follow. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 13 from 6 until 8 PM at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home, Reynolda Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
