She was a strong advocate and proud employee of Clintondale Community schools for 35 years. Shirley was a member of New Life Baptist Church, where her strong faith helped her in her journey through life. She lived by 2 Corinthians 5:7 Walk by faith not by sight. Shirley touched many people’s lives, always taking time to form a connection with people and help anyone in need. In her retirement she began to live life for herself, enjoying a daily visit to the Mt. Clemens Bakery and exploring the world with travel. Shirley always put her family first, they were her world. She was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived by her children, Stephanie (Thomas) Krycian, Tressa (Keith) Pettit, John (Patricia) Krajsek, Sherry (Keith) Nightingale; 11 grandchildren, Chantel, Kelsey, Haleigh, Bailey, Daisy, Brady, Ryan, Kyle, Brad, Austin, Maddie; 1 great-granddaughter on the way, Mckinnley; her siblings, Doreen (Henry) Kohn, Bill (Janice) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday, September 5, from 2-8pm at Kaul Funeral Home. Visitation on Friday, September 6, from 9:00am until a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI 48035. Entombment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township. Memorial donations can be made to New Life Baptist Church.
