Zollie Otis Crain, 93 of Cocoa, Fl. went home to be with his maker June 8, 2018. He was the son of Zollie O. Crain and Winifred Roberson Crain. Born April 7, 1925 in Canyon, Texas. At The age of 13 months Zollie Crain Sr. passed away from injuries he received during WWI so Zollie never knew his real father but at the age of 7 his mother was remarried to Cecil Self. Zollie was so loved and cared for by this Christian man who was truly a father to him.
At the age of 18 Zollie enlisted in the United States Army where he served proudly for 22 years in WWII and Korea twice. After his army life he worked for Honeywell Corp. retiring after 15 years.
On November 4, 1989 he was married to the love of his life, Ruby Massey. With her loving him equally. After a short time, they moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Cocoa, Florida to be near their children, Carolyn Lakatos (Riguad), Sherry Roush (Randy), Michael Jones (Teresa), and Michelle Bloomfield (Richard) in Arizona. With numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren, as well as a host of friends and relatives.
Both Zollie and Ruby accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, joining Calvary Baptist Church of Cocoa where God sent them years ago. Brother Jay Frazier having long been their pastor.
After a long and lingering illness Zollie went home to spend eternity with his precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
