A funeral service will be held at Reformation Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Bupp officiating. A private burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel is assisting the family.
Born in Elizabethton, Tenn. she was a daughter of the late Emery Charles Tillis, Jr. and Kathleen Ball Tillis. Cheryle received her Registered Nursing Degree from the University of South Carolina and retired after 30 years at the VA Medical Center. She was affiliated with Reformation Lutheran Church. Cheryle was a loving and compassionate woman who loved spending time with her family and little furry companion Chloe.
Surviving is her beloved husband, Gregory R. McMahan; sister, Donna Tillis Roberts (Spike) and was loved by a blended family of 7 children, 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
