Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel with interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 27 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Eddie was born in Columbus, April 12, 1964 to Mary Hartzog and the late William David Kimbrel. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, worked as an upholsterer, and loved to play golf, hunt, and fish.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Becky Kimbrel; a daughter, Katie Kimbrel; a son, Will Kimbrel; his mother, Mary Hartzog (Joe); four sisters: Brenda Andrews, Debro Tsagaris (Dean), Pam Wener, Sonya Kaup (James); three sisters-in-law: Cathy McDonald (John), Mary Anderson, Jeanie Jenkins (Joe); one brother-in-law, Eddie Anderson; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Eddie Kimbrel Fund at any CB&T location or to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2913 Reese Road Columbus, GA 31907.
