Helen was born on April 28, 1927 in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Clarence and Etta Niemoeller. She attended Columbus High School graduating in 1945, and was a life-long member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Helen worked at Arvin and retired in 1989. She loved to go camping and frequently vacationed in Lake Wales, Florida, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Rae Ellen (Rick) Thomas; grandchildren, Nicole (Matt) Javit, Ericka (Steve) Koenig, and Emily (Anesti) Dhima, five great-grandchildren; sister, Miriam (Dean) Brougher; brother, Robert (Delores) Niemoeller; sister-in-law, Charlene Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three spouses, Raymond J. Hormann, Joe Ferguson, John Pheral Sr.; her parents; and an infant daughter, Kae Ellain.
A Funeral Service for Helen will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with Douglas Brougher officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial Contributions in Helen’s name may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF).
