My husband Steve and I both worked with Chris at the old Rinks store on Brice Road and we have so many fond memories of him from that time in our lives.  We had a wicked wit, a great sense of humor and was always looking for a little mischief or fun to get into.  We were so fond of Chris we named our second son Christoper Cole - and hope he lives up to his namesake!   We were so saddened to hear of his illness and offer sincerest condolences to his family.  The world has lost a seriously great dude!

I'll remember Chris fondly. Got to know him in 2000 when I started working at ODJFS (Office for Children & Families). My husband (Felix Pedon) had grown up with Chris' family in the south end of Columbus, so we had an immediate connection. Chris was a comical guy & would regularly share jokes & mini-pranks w/ office-mates. I can remember teasing him when he arrived each morning at the Lazarus Building office with a "sippy cup" (for whichever child he had dropped off at downtown child care). I'm sorry he & you all had to experience such a devastating decline.--Sally Pedon

Sharon, so sorry to hear that Chris had passed away. I enjoyed talking with him and playing cards. He loved to tell the story about climbing the water tower. I also enjoyed having him on my bus. He will truly missed by all his driver's from NCR/Share.

I had been working at ODJFS when Chris arrived. He was always telling his corny but funny jokes-often laughing before the punch line. I had a lot of difficult enforcement situations and Chris was always there to guide me through.My thoughts are with Chris and his family. Rest in peace my friend.

This is hard to write. I miss the Tesi’s so much, uncle Chris was the nicest man, I’m very sad that I haven’t seen him since I was maybe 10 but I have memories being at uncle Tims in NC with all of the Tesi’s. Playing video games with maddie, Jared, Ashley, Samantha and Lauren. And Going to the beach very young, I remember Uncle Chris, Tim, and my Dad and watching their relationship as brothers, which was something I didn’t see often as we lived in California when Tim and Chris, aunt Laura and Sharon and of course Grandpa and Grandma D  And all My cousins were on the other side of the country. The relationship they had was always laughing, telling old stories about how Uncle Chris Could knock any guy out with ONE PUNCH when he was young. And I always thought that was the coolest thing ever, and a BEAR!? What! It’s Like a super power. And he was like a hero in his own way, from what my dad tells me and what everyone else who knew him well, said he would never want to hurt anybody(clearly he stopped punching people a long time ago lol) that he was the nicest gentleman you could ever hope to know and that just like rest of the Tesi’s Chris was gonna stand up for what was right, always. And I didn’t get much time with him, but these few memories that I do have are so important to me and I’ll never forget them. I love You uncle Chris, I know you’re with grandpa right now. I love all the Tesi’s and I want to catch up with everybody. Please ask my dad for my phone number! And text or call me! Rest in Paradise uncle, and I can’t wait to see you again<3

We remember Chris and Sharon from our early Young Adult Fellowship days at Christian Assembly church. Chris was always friendly and personable, at the same time time he was quite the competitor in volleyball! We all started having children around the same time and remember Madison's birth. We are saddened to learn of his passing and are reminded of our own short days. How good to hear that he stayed close to Jesus as life continued. Our hearts go to Sharon and the rest of the family.

Chris will always occupy a special place in my heart because of his loyal friendship, kind heart, bright smile, and crazy jokes. He was incredibly smart and I always felt fortunate to have him as part of our ODJFS  
team. During some of my darkest, most challenging days at ODJFS, he was such a dedicated friend and true support for me; but that was not unusual, he was there for all of us whenever we needed him. He certainly made my visits to Columbus more interesting with our discussions centering around politics and his off the wall jokes. Chris lived his faith and dedication to family. We often talked about his children and how proud he was of them as well as his wife. I’m humbled that he called me “friend” ... heaven is surely a brighter place with him there. Rest In Peace my friend... hope to see you on the other side...

Lit a candle in memory of Christopher C. Tesi

I had the honor of working with Chris for many years at ODJFS.  He was the very first person I met on my first day and he truly took me under his wing.  We gave each other a hard time, we laughed together, and we cried together.  His support was never-ending.  His love for his wife and his pride in his children was evident in all our conversations.  He would get so excited talking about their school and sports activities,... and his wrestling days, and the bear, and high school football, OSU football, and the list goes on.  When I think about my happiest times at work, Chris is in all of them.  You are missed, and I was lucky to call you my friend.

I worked with Chris for many years at ODJFS. Chris was always supportive and a wizard with enforcement. I was greatly sadden to hear this new and I will miss the spirit that was Chris Tesi. My memories have brought wonderful moments of laughter.

Please know that my prayers are with his family.
May the precious Holy Spirit bring you comfort.

I worked with Chris at ODJFS and will always remember his contagious sense of humor.  Whether the interactions with him were in person or by phone, they ALWAYS started with a joke!  I will always reflect on those times fondly... thanks, Chris, for reminding those around you to find humor... that's the good stuff in life!

I went to HS with Chris.  He was funny, charming and kind.  I loved being around him because he just brought a smile to everyone.  I was heartbroken to hear of his passing.  My prayers go out to his family.  RIP Chris.  They're going to love you in heaven!

I worked with Chris at ODJFS, he was always great to talk to and we all heard the bear story lol.  He lived a great life and loved his family very much.  He was passionate about children services.  He told us he worked for American Greetings - he could have easily written cards for them.  Rest easy Chris you are missed.

I worked with Chris for several years at the Ohio Dept. of Job and Family Services.  His sense of humor was so encouraging.  And his genuine love for his family was evident in the way he spoke of his wife and children; he enjoyed being a part of their lives.  I'll miss you, Chris.  Enjoy the fruit of your salvation, friend!

I remember when my mother and Chris's mother took turns driving Chris and me to and from kindergarten at Bloom Elementary!  I also remember Chris as comical and always a nice guy!  Rest in peace, Chris.
