We are very saddened to just find out about Betty's passing. We have been trying to call her and only get a disconnect on her line, so we knew something was't right. We got a call from her Life Alert as James was her contact number in case something was to come up in an emergency, this is when we learned of her being in Salem's Place and assumed a family member unplugged her life alert system and that's why we got a calls.
James use to take care of Mr Heck when he had to have his dialysis treatments and after he passed we remand good friends with Betty and would call and chat and called on her birthday and occasionally go out to eat. She loved and was so proud of her grandchildren Darla and Michelle and talked about them so much and we were very happy to get to meet them and Howell Jr as
well during their trips to visit to see her. James took her on any errands she needed weather it was to go to the airport to pick up family members or out of town to Texas to visit Darla when she was still there or a simple trip to get her care worked on. She was an elegant beautiful lady and we will miss her.
I wished we knew about her passing , we would have made the trip for her services. Again we are so very saddened to hear about her passing, please accept our deepest condolences . Please call if you would like. 501-690-5750

Our Sincere Sympathy,
James and Sharon Perry

Regretfully I just learned of Betty's passing. Betty was my neighbor and mentor when I first joined Master Garndners in 2011. She came to my house parties, we had lunch together and stayed in touch when she moved. I visited Darla and met one grandaughter. Our visits were fun, she was always uplifting. Somehow we did not continue that since I wished her a Happy 90th birthday with a delayed lunch outing. I would run into her at Kroger or somewhere and she always looked wonderful and said she was doing well. I was always amazed at her youthful countenance and grace. I'm so sorry I was not able to attend services, even if I knew, since I also had a young family member pass away just days after Betty, and I was out of state. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family, who I know will miss her very much.

My memories of Betty are of a lady who brought good cheer and love to the day. I learned a lot from Betty. She was an encourager and always willing to share her knowledge of nature and native plants. A day spent with Betty was full of a love and laughter. I will miss her very much. Mary Wells

I first met Betty through Mary Wells, a Master Gardener. I visited her beautiful shade garden every spring for 3 years. After I retired, Betty asked me to be her friend at CR Fitness Center. She also told me about her daughter, Darla & I became her friend also. Betty shared her confidences, her frustrations, & her joy's with me. I visited her at home weekly. She delighted as I took her on trips 3x to Bentonville to see Crystal Bridges & the Frank L. Wright reconstructed home there. We made several trips to Heber Springs, a favorite of hers. I was so pleased to take her to Paris, TX to see her great grand daughter's new home 3 years ago. I celebrated each of her birthdays & Mother's Day with her preparing a special meal. She also took me to lunch for my birthday. And when she was hospitalized & went to Salem Place, I sat with her & brought her favorite meal that included both salmon & dark chocolate. I knew her heart & soul. She was a beautiful lady inside & out. I am so privileged to have called her friend. I will remember her with great love. Be with the angels & your deceased family, Betty.
