Wallace Eric Henderson

Wallace E. Henderson, 91, of Dyer IN passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. Wally was born in Hammond, IN to Eric and Tillie Henderson in 1927. He is survived by his sons , Gary (Carol) Henderson and Brian Henderson, 2 grandchildren, Eric and Amy Henderson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Violet (Wild) Henderson and his parents and sister. Wally always was a wonderful example and role model for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his model train layout and simple things like mowing the lawn, puttering around in his garage or workshop, and shopping at hardware and home improvement stores. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 9am to 11 am followed by the memorial service at 11 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN. Donations may be made in Wally’s name to the Hospice of the Calumet Area or the William J. Riley Memorial Residence.
