It is with great sadness that the family of Darwin Leonard Moore announces his passing after a lengthy illness, on June 30, 2018. He passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones. Darwin (or Papa Moore, as he was well known) will be fondly remembered by several surviving nieces and nephews, his church family from Princeton Church of Christ, and many friends he has made over the years.
Darwin was born in Manning, TX on Feb. 12, 1931 to Marion Leon "Buster" Moore and Mildred Hazel Kersh Moore. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a jack of all trades - working as a machinist, truck driver, and HVAC technician. He loved gardening, animals, nature, and his family.
He is most fondly remembered for his humility, giving spirit and common sense wisdom.
