Debra June Cherry, 68, of Springtown Texas peacefully passed away April 6, 2023. Debra was born April 19, 1954 in Slaton, Texas to Clifford and Ellene Jones who preceded her in death. She was married to husband of 24 years John Cherry in 1994, who sadly passed in 2018. She is survived by her brother Clifford E. Jones, his wife Gale, and their two children Angela Buentello, husband Richard, and Kimberly Ballard, husband Zach, brother Michael W. Jones, wife Vee, and children Allison Guerra, husband Eric, Melissa Hubbard, husband Mike, Jeffrey Jones, wife Tonya, Jessica Oakley, husband Derrick, and several great nieces and nephews. Debra had a love of her furry friends, and supporting her local animal shelters.
Debra graduated from Monterrey High School in Lubbock Texas, and went on to graduate from Texas Women’s University in Denton Texas with her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. She worked in multiple hospitals in the Houston Medical Center, finishing her nursing career in the Dallas Metropolitan area at several medical facilities.
