John James Andersen

John was born April 9, 1947 in Greenwich, CT the son of the late John and Agnes (Murphy) Andersen. Raised and educated in Greenwich, he was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran, stationed in Atsugi, Japan and aboard the USS Sperry in San Diego, CA. He was employed as a lineman and associate engineer with Southern New England Telephone for 22 years, and most recently was employed as a contract engineer with Lourdes Industries of Long Island, NY. A resident of Danbury since 1979, John was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury, and a member of both Shooters Gun Club, New Milford, and the N.R.A.

In addition to his wife Charlene, John is survived by two daughters: Kristen P. McClain and her husband Morgan of Branford, and Shauna A. Jones and her husband Gavin of San Antonio, TX, one brother: Thomas W. Andersen and his wife Louise of Greenwich, CT, one sister in law: Lucille Gargano and her husband Anthony of Centerville, OH, two grandchildren: Ian Thomas McClain and Kallan Andersen Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brother James J. Andersen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 28th in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury at 12:30pm. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday April 28th from 10:00am until the time of the service at 12:30.
