Eugene Daniel Druehl

Eugene Daniel Druehl, 85, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Services will be Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10 am at The Runge Mortuary with visitation starting at 9:30. His final resting place will be in Maysville Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com. Eugene was born March 12, 1937 in Maysville, IA. He was the son of Henry and Alvena (Reese) Druehl. He worked as an auto body repairman for Hiland Toyota for many years before retiring. He was a simple man who enjoyed fishing and had a kind heart. Those left to honor his memory include his sister: Darlene Thompson, Davenport, brother-in-law Thomas Wright, Rockford, IL; nieces and nephews: Ann (Paul) Thorndyke, Blue Grass, Jill (Larry) Tappendorf, Davenport, Tim (Brenda) Thompson, Blue Grass, IA, Brad (Brandy) Thompson, Davenport and Mark (Dawn) Thompson, Davenport and numerous great nieces and nephews. His parents, sister, Marcella Wright and brother-in-law, Jim Thompson preceded him in death.
