Beverly Jean Musolf, age 100 of Haslett, MI, formerly of East Lansing, MI, passed away Dec. 18, 2018. She was born in Adrian on Nov. 27, 1918 to Harold and Rena (Furman) Schneider. Beverly was employed by the State of Michigan in her early years. She worked at Jacobson’s in East Lansing for a number of years before she was employed by Michigan State University in the Evaluation Services Department. She retired after 22 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold K. Musolf and her sister, Juliamae (Schneider) Bishop.
Surviving are her children, Richard Musolf, (Alexandria Whitney) of Troy, Dierdre Hamp of Hesperia and Thomas (Nancy) Musolf of Haslett; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
To know Beverly was a life enhancing experience. Her love of family and friends is one of life’s greatest gifts. It was a gift she gave freely. Recently family and friends gathered to celebrate a rare milestone….Beverly’s 100th birthday…a wonderful opportunity to share love and precious memories that will live on in her honor.
A funeral service will be held at Gorsline Runciman East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing, Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m., with her nephew, Pastor Greg Bishop of Northeastern Baptist Church, Kalamazoo, MI officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Jan. 4, 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
