LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. A light that shone so brightly has now been extinguished. Marianne “Nan” Glazer has passed from this world surrounded by the love of her family, leaving a legacy and example to all, of a life well lived.
Predeceased by her husband Edward, brothers John, Harry, Jim, Tony and sisters Elsie and Nora. She is survived by brother Albert (Margret), sister Barbara (Terry) and her five children, Lawrence Glazer, Joan Bartelds (Bill), Terri Orchard, Kieran Pilton, (Warren) and Sarah Logan (Eamon).
Marianne was blessed with grandchildren Becky Motyka (Jeff), Tim Bartelds (Carmen), Justin Glazer (Dimple), Jeremy Glazer (Nicole) and Dane Velthuis (Rena), Taniel and Eden Ghazarian. She especially took great joy in her great grandchildren Emma and Lucas Motyka, Kassian Glazer, Jordyn, Kellan and Beck Velthuis.
Nan, as she was affectionately called by everyone, was a devoted sports fan of the Edmonton Elks and the Oilers and loved to talk about the players and the games. She also took great pride in the accomplishments of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nan was born in Edmonton, moved to Toronto and Calgary for a short time and then settled back in Edmonton. Nan was at her happiest when she was with family and friends, especially sitting around the campfires in the summer evenings.
