Elaine was born the eldest of six children to James and Betty Banegas. She married her cowboy sweetheart Daniel Necochea 2002. She was a loving mother to Ricky Curo and Stephanie (Curo) Haywood, and a kind and caring mother-in-law to Rita Curo and Kelly Curo. Her grandchildren, Garren Curo, Saige Curo, Calista Haywood and her great-grandchildren Amina and Daniel Curo adored their Namas Elaine. She'll always be remembered for her glamour and fashion. Her family enjoyed her home cooked meals, and cherished their family time spent together. Some of Elaine's pastimes included playing softball with the Barona woman's team, traveling to rodeos across the country, and cooking large meals for holiday gatherings. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents James and Betty, her brother, Thomas Banegas, and her sister Cheryl Prieto. She is survived by her husband, two children, two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Kathy Smith and Debra Banegas and brother James Banegas, Jr. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 5;00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7;00 pm at Barona Community Center. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Barona Mission Shrine.
