Lupe S. Martinez

Lupe S. Martinez was called home to be with Our Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Lupe had a great passion for people and it showed by the many friends he had and the missions he served in his church and the community. Yet his concern was for people to know Christ and the power of Salvation through Him. He was born to Ricardo & Maria Martinez on August 27, 1948 in Carlsbad and was raised in Dexter, N.M. He was presently employed at Glacier Technologies the last 2 years. He was a licensed Funeral Director/ Embalmer for 40 years+ and loved serving families in their time of need. During this time he served families in Roswell, N.M., Las Vegas, N.M., Santa Fe N.M. & EL Paso, TX. He is Preceded in death by his four brothers and two sisters. Lupe is survived by his loving wife Olivia, Son Joe (Leslie), Grandson Angel Jose, Sisters: Agapita Munoz (Apolonio), Lillie Montoya (Frank), Elvira Medrano (Reynaldo) and Helen Cabrera (Antonio Elias), Brother Roy Martinez, three brother’s in-law and five sister’s in -law and several nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Eastwood Church of Christ 10104 Album St. followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow with burial in Northern, New Mexico.
