

Myron was born on October 13, 1965 in Fort Frances, Ontario. He was a kind, gentle, quiet person and was a hard worker. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved his pets. He enjoyed helping the Elders and spending time with the Mennonite community. He loved his family more than anything. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and never refused helping anyone. He enjoyed music and loved to listen to his Rock and Roll on his big stereo. He was sober for over 20 years and enjoyed his sobriety.
Left to cherish his memory is his father Bob Kabatay, his siblings Dwayne Johnson, Ladean Skead and her spouse Wally Skead, Theresa Perreault and her children, Terry Boshkaykin and his children, Rickie Johnson and his daughter Valentena Spoon and his granddaughter Desiree Sagutch, his niece Colleen Johnson and her spouse Evan Fisher and their children Venice, Vienna and Vander, his nephew Leon Johnson and his spouse Marcie Perrault and their children Kyree and Leighton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Frances Kabatay and brother Ken Johnson Sr.
A wake was held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Seine River First Nation Gymnasium
A traditional burial ceremony was held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Seine River First Nation Gymnasium. Gilbert Smith officiated followed by interment in the Seine River First Nation Cemetery.
The honourary pallbearers were Bob Kabatay, Johnny Spoon Sr., Art Geyshick, Sheldon Whitecrowe, Conrad Johnson, Shane Whitecrowe, Carol Johnson, Lillian Boshkaykin, Rosie Boshkaykin, Emile Morin and Gerald Johnson
The active pallbearers were Evan Fisher, Gerald Morrison Sr., Terry Friday, Nathan Boshkaykin, Ron Friday and Rudy Whitecrowe and other family members and friends.
