Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel at 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Watauga, Texas 76148.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel with Haltom City Police Department Chaplain Brian Hamlin, officiating. Burial will follow at Dallas-Forth Worth National Cemetery at 2:15 PM, February 25, 2021.
Lily was born in Canlubang, Laguna, Philippines to Antonino and Valentina Jimena on August 10,1934. Lily married George "John" Johnson on October 11, 1969, at Clark Air Base in the Philippines and remained married until his death in 2009. Lily and her husband John, a member of the US Air Force were stationed at several bases in the United States and several foreign countries. She enjoyed her military life and travels in the United States and abroad. After her husband's retirement from the US Air Force, they settled in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Lily is preceded in death by her husband John, parents Antonino and Valentina Jimena, brothers Mario Jimena, Charlie Jimena, Jorgen Jimena, Bert Jimena, and sister Dely Jimena Root.
Lily is survived by her sisters, Lina Jimena Nebrida, Purity Jimena Kyles and Emmie Jimena Marcelo. Children Anthony Balanquit and wife Esther, Ferdy Balanquit and wife Karen, Sixto Balanquit and wife Debbie, and Michael Stephen Johnson. Grandchildren, Mark Benitez and wife Emelyn, Patricia Tran and husband Tony, Cindy Horne and husband Jason, and Lorenz Benitez and wife NouNou. Great grandchildren Mervin Dela Cruz and Sean Benitez, Victoria and Isabella Tran, Alex Horne, and Mia and Carter Benitez.
Lily is also remembered by many relatives from the Philippines, across the United States, Norway, and Canada.
