James Roscoe Stump

James Roscoe “Mickey” Stump, age 64, of Front Royal passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Warren Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Stump was born in Culpeper on January 30, 1949, a son of the late James Sheridan and Annie Elizabeth Martin Stump. He was a purchaser for Vulcan Materials retiring after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, golf and old cars, his favorite car being a 55 Chevy. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 30 years, Donna Boyd Stump; his sons, James Sheridan Stump of Stephens City and Caritha (Colby) Byrd and wife April of Christiansburg; his daughter, Jessica Ann Brooks and husband Peter of Front Royal; his brothers, Jerry Martin and wife Mag of Marion, Tyrone Holley and Bobby Holley, both of AL; his sisters, Linda Bowers and husband Roger of Irvington, AL and Patricia Wright of WV; and his three grandchildren, James Michael Jetten (Stump), Tosha Ashton Webber (Stump) and Megan Noel Brooks. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stump was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd Eugene Stump and John Charles Stump and his sister, Patricia Gail Stump.
