

Alice Ping Lee Edwards passed away peacefully on July 18th after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Hong Kong in 1957, Alice Ping Lee Lai moved to the United Kingdom (UK) in 1964 when she was a small girl along with her parents, and sister, Christine, and brothers, Ken, Paul and Andrew. From the age of eleven she went to St. Mary’s Convent School in Worcester, UK and then trained to be a medical laboratory scientist followed by a career in clinical trials monitoring. In her late twenties, Alice obtained her Master’s Degree in Immunology from Brunel University, UK. Following marriage, she lived in Antwerp Belgium for seven years, before moving to Durham, North Carolina in 1997. In 2004, the family moved to Yorba Linda, California. Alice was a loving wife and mother. Her life was one of family, friends and work, to all of which she was totally committed. To her husband she was a supportive, loving and guiding partner. In family life, she was focused on the upbringing and education of her sons and attended their recent high school and college graduations. To her many friends, here in California, across the US, and around the world, Alice was kind, caring and generous in spirit. Alice is survived by her husband, Steve, her two sons, Hugh and Luke, and her sister and three brothers.
