He is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Sheppard.
He was employed as a baker at Kroger on Gwinnett Street for 6 years.
James is survived by his mother, Oleta Burke of Krebs, Oklahoma; father and step-mother, James R. Sheppard, Sr. and Ouella Sheppard of Indianola, Oklahoma; sister, Tammy Jacob of Ferris, Texas; nieces, Shelby and Chelsey Brewer, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by many loving friends and co-workers.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home in Garden City, Georgia with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia.
