Christena MacKinnon

Christena is survived by her brother Allan, her children: Francis, Leonard (Kathleen) and Thelma (Billy), her grandchildren: Mathew, Kevin, Jessica, Amy and Emma Christine, great grandchildren Summer, Lynkin and Kara as well as many family and friends especially cousin Joanie, sister-in-law Sue and special friends Charlie, Duane, Heather, Peter and Michael.

Christena was predeceased by her husband Francis (Hap) MacKinnon and her parents William and Dolena MacDonald.

Visitation will be held at Patten Funeral Home in Glace Bay from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday, August 7 with a funeral service at Knox United Church in Glace Bay on Thursday, August 8 at 11:00am with Rev. Allison Etter officiating. Interment to follow in Gordon United Church Cemetery. A celebration will follow at the home of Leonard and Kathleen.

Special thanks to the staff of Cape Breton Hospital 4A for the wonderful care given to Christena. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christena’s memory may be made to the Glace Bay Food Bank or the Canadian Cancer Society.
