Glenys will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind a daughter Dawn Wisz and her husband Alex of East Hartford, six beloved grandchildren, who were the center of her universe, Nicole, Kaylee, Matthew & Justin Thibodeau and Jessica and Evan Wisz. She also leaves her siblings Claudia & Sherwood Strickland, Marilyn & Douglas Strickland, Gladys & Jack Krepcio, all of Colchester, Gordon Milton of Glastonbury and William & Lucy Milton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and many nieces, nephews whom she adored.
Raised in Glastonbury and graduating from Glastonbury High School in 1958, Glenys had a full life, and large circle of friends. She lived in East Hartford from 1976-2007, before moving to Vernon where she made new friendships and received care and assistance from many special nurses and aides who came to her home to help. Her family would like to thank all those who helped Glenys over the years, in particular Karen, Kathleen and Mona, who were near and dear to her.
Glenys is predeceased by her mother Gladys Stamm.
A period of Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 3-6pm, at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tnpk, Glastonbury CT., 06033. All are welcome to gather for services on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10:30am with a Celebration of her life to begin at 11am, all at the funeral home.
