Mary Julia Roddy

Mary Julia Roddy, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 82. She was a native and resident of Prairieville, LA. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and being with her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Ray Roddy; parents, John and Mabel Babin Broussard, Sr.; son in law, Dean Elisar; 4 brothers and 1 sister. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Julie Broussard (Randall), Bobbie Elisar, Rebecca Blanchard (Ken); grandchildren, Randy Broussard (Lizzie), Amanda Cartwright (Joe Cartwright), Sarah Elisar; sisters, Geneva Richardson, Susie Thomassie, Elizabeth Case; brothers, Kenneth Broussard, Sr., Joseph Broussard; 7 great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends of Julia are invited to attend the Visitation on Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 5pm-8pm and Monday, July 26, 2021 from 9am-10:30am at Ourso Funeral Home-Gonzales. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church at 11am on Monday, July 26, 2021.
