Helen J. Hackett, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 11, 2014, at Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO, surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born in Fresno, CA on November 22, 1935, to J.D. and Ina (Meek) Naffziger, along with her identical twin, Ellen Denton, who survives her.
She was married to Gerald Castle on August 14, 1953, and later divorced. From that union came Helen's only child, Mary White, who survives her. In April of 1981, Helen married Allan A. Hackett of Meeker, CO. They made a home in Meeker for eight years before moving to Fruita, where Helen worked at Wal Mart #1280 for 13 years before retiring. She has lived in Loma, Arizona and Mack.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nancy Buniger of Arizona and her husband, Allan Hackett. She is survived by her sister, Ellen (Ed) Denton of Fruita; daughter, Mary (Deny) White of Mack; grandson, William Williams of Mack; granddaughter, Tracie (Don) Stadelman of Grand Junction; grandson, Jessie (Amber) Williams of Rifle, CO; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and many more loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday December 18, 2014, 5:00 p.m. at Canyon View Vineyard Church Chapel.
