James Dale Dood

James "Bigs" Dood, age 63, of Jenison left us to be with his Lord on the celebration of Jesus birth, December 25, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Freda Dood. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Lauralee Lutker Dood; his children, Lori Greg Honeysett Dood, Jim Jennifer Dood, and Nick Denise Dood; grandchildren, Ashley and Rusty Swanson, McKenzie, Sabrina, Lindsay, Jessica, Hunter, Isaiah, Zoey, and Jackson Dood; father, James Dood; brothers, Doug Sandy Dood and Al Sue Dood; mother-in-law, Lorraine Lutker; in-laws, Mari John McKay, Bill Laura Lutker, and Dan Melody Lutker; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. His biggest joys were spending time with his family and fishing. Jim retired after 32 years as a chemist and purchasing manager from Pfizer. The funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday at the Rosewood Reformed Church, 2975 Rosewood, Jenison with Pastor Howard Moths officiating. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Jenison Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, 1889 Baldwin Dr., Jenison.
