Born April 3, 1949 in Greencastle, IN,, he was the son of Oscar and Ruby L. (Hill) King. He married Peggy L. (Rumley) King and she survives.
Gary had been a self employed painter for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy; three children, Karen (Josh) Miller, Gary L. (Nikki) King II, and Jerry (Christine) King; ten grandchildren, Kourtney, Alexis, Damien, Zachary, Hailey, Gary, Austin, Jerry, Aiden, and Nevaeh; brother and sisters, Harvey King, Bud King, Donnie King, Bobby King, Deanie Rumley, Sue Head, Shirley Begley, Sharon Gregory, and Pat Bond.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother, Jerry, brothers, Edgar and Frankie; and two sisters, Karen and Mary.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
