Mrs. Neva was the sweetest and was just a joy to be around. She was so kind and caring to all. She was full of wisdom and great stories about her life growing up and about her family. I spent many nights just talking with her. I think about her a lot and I dearly miss her.
Sending my love and prayers-Corrine

With this news so many memories came flooding back of all the times our families spent together. Neva Belle and Theron, Lillian and Vernon Abbott, and my parents-Gwen and Bill Andrews, were the best of friends when we lived in Greencastle. We shared so many meals and even vacationed together. I am so thankful my sister and I made the trip to Greencastle to celebrate Neva Belle's 90th birthday. That was a great sister trip, as well as, the last opportunity we had to honor Neva Belle in person. I cherish all the memories. May your memories stay with you and comfort you.

We always had fond memories of Neva Belle and her family. She was not only our Sunday School teacher but a friend and Christian adviser when we were young and raising our children. Our sympathy and love are sent to your family.

Neva Belle will truly be missed. I remember growing up and having a mother Vertabel York and knowing Neva Belle York at church. We HAD to be related, right? Well as far as I know we are not except through Christ and the Church. I would claim her in a heartbeat though! Neva Belle was truly an amazing woman of God and my life is better for knowing her. I know Heaven is rejoicing her arrival and I take comfort that we will meet again! Rest In Peace dear friend, you deserve it!

When I was a child, Uncle Theron and Aunt NevaBelle (Who were not really related by blood) were a tremendous positive influence on me and my family. They exemplified loving, patient, steadfast Christian people. Uncle Theron took me fishing a time or two, but undoubtedly I didn’t stop talking or busily playing, so we never caught anything. He patiently addressed my never-ending questions. I remember how NevaBelle grieved at his passing. She showed how truly “we do not grieve as those who have no hope” (1 Th. 4:13) can be lived out in the life of one who knows the Savior. She was kind and gentle, with a ready smile, always. I look forward to seeing her one day.
From my mother (Kay Kennedy)- NevaBelle was a wonderful Sunday School teacher, friend and sister in Christ. I will cherish all of the memories of her.

Please know that you all will be in our prayers and on our minds as you walk through this difficult valley.
