Emily still sleeps with her stuffed animal from Christmas. I will never forget Joannes lovable sweet personality. thank you for always welcoming my family from Japan. May you rest in peace and we love you.

Our deepest condolences to Bill and the entire family. We are  so heartbroken by the passing of our dear friend Joanne.

Joanne and I clicked immediately when we became next door neighbors at Leisure Village Camarillo, in 2009. 

Our first get together was when Bill and Joanne brought George and I to the ranch to meet Louie, and from then on, we were at the ranch  a lot. We enjoyed and learned all about horses from Joanne.  She was a wonderful teacher. We were hooked.
 
I watched Joanne and Courtney take many riding lessons, and down the line, I took riding lessons too. They were there to cheer me on and support me. They were good riders. I was not.

We spent time bike riding, playing ping pong, eating out. etc. Whatever we did, we always had a good time. I taught her my recipe for spaghetti meatballs and sausage. It took at least a half a day. More good laughs.

George and I were invited to many of their family gatherings, barbecues, etc., which were always a lot of fun.

She loved and lived for her family, and I especially admired her relationship with Courtney. She was a wonderful grandmother. I loved when I got to hang out with them. 

One of my fondest memories is when we went camping in Kim and Joe's motor home in Malibu. Great weekend with Joanne, Kim and Courtney.  More fun and laughs. She had such a great sense of humor.

I enjoyed helping out with little Thumper, Joanne's beloved rabbit. That was my first experience with a rabbit. I really enjoyed that little guy she loved so much. 

At Channel Islands, Bill and I watched Joanne kayaking  in the ocean, then she taught George to kayak in the inlet.  Again she was a great teacher. No way I was going in the water since I do not swim.

When Bill and Joanne moved to TN we missed them so much. We kept in touch regularly over the years by texting and emailing often with lots of pics. 

To my special warm wonderful friend. I will always  cherish our friendship. 
Rest in peace.  Love you always.

Joanne was a very dear and special neighbor many years ago in Camarillo.  We both had young families and we shared a lot about raising children and husbands!  Joanne was a kind and loving mother, very active in her children's lives.  Bill, Billy, Kim, and Chris, may the good Lord bless and keep you during the long process of saying goodbye.  Her passing will leave an empty place in your large family circle.  What joy you have all brought her. She is with you all as you continue her teaching, love, and generosity to all.  We are all better people because of her gentleness and kindness.  Along with Carrie and Scott, we send our love and thoughts to you all.  Jane Pidduck

Joanne taught me that a horse can love poetry and that a kayak gliding across still waters can bring peace. She was indeed a special person.
