A devoted wife, mother, and teacher, Lorraine leaves behind her husband, Mark, her daughter, Shannon, and a 20-year legacy of students. Mrs. Hart’s first-grade classroom at Greenwich Country Day School embodied her bright spirit, her gracious presence and her steadfast dedication to every child who came through its door. Her passion for teaching was matched only by her loving affection for her friends and family, whom she supported unconditionally.
Everyone who knew her will desperately miss Lorraine’s warmth, generosity, and patience; but she lives on in the successes of her former students and in the admiration and love of the friends and family she leaves behind.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010, at 4pm, at Christ Church, 254 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT.
