News Death Notice

FORD, Edna Age 96, of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2014 at Parkside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on March 30, 1917, the daughter of the late Henry Edward and Anna Mae (Gilpin) Franz. On January 16, 1945 she married Roy Ford in Ashland, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1992. Edna had worked during WWII stamping shells in Ashland, Kentucky and after moving to Hamilton she worked for College View Restaurant in Oxford and later retiring from Miami University. She had attended several churches throughout the Hamilton Community. Edna is survived by her two sons, Doug Ford and Dan Ford; four grandchildren, Cindy, Adam, Sheena and Gina Ford; great grandchildren, Mandy Griffin, Serenity Bowling and Sunny Sue Ford; Edna also had 13 siblings.
