Carmella J. Russo, 99, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center, Olyphant, PA.

Born March 21, 1922, in Renova; she was the daughter of the late Santo and Elvira (Mazzula) Baratta; and preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Russo.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph S. Russo and Dennis R. Russo; daughter, Cynthia Miller; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Franco; and brother, Joseph Baratta. .

Carmella was a retired manager from J.C. Penney Department Store and a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, May 3rd, at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Monday, May 3rd, at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to fight Dementia and Alzheimer’s at act.alz.org.
