Doris Ann Kepler Boynton

Doris was born on June 15, 1932 in Harrisburg, PA. She graduated from Lower Paxton High School in May 1950. After graduation Doris worked for State Auto Insurance from 1950 until 1953. After moving to Selinsgrove, Doris worked at Snyder County Trust Bank from 1984 through 1993 and volunteered at the Mustard Seed and Kitchen Cupboard in Selinsgrove.

Doris is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Maryellen Kepler of Harrisburg, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Bruce Dively of Selinsgrove; and two grandsons and their spouses, Justin and Tara Dively of Middleburg, PA and Adam and Amy Dively of York, PA. In addition, Doris had four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Sophia, Makenna, and Reagan, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Kepler of Harrisburg, PA.

Doris donated much of her time to her church, community organizations, and helping friends. Doris was a long-time member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Selinsgrove, PA, where she volunteered countless hours of her time.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 4 at 10:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am. Both will be held at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Selinsgrove. A light lunch and refreshments will be served by the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, it was requested by Doris that contributions be made to your favorite charity.

The family would like to thank the Sunbury Community Hospital and Sunbury Community Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and dedication to Doris during her stay.
