Lennus S. Reed

Dauphin, PA – Lennus "Weedy" Steve Reed, 59, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Holy Spirit Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Born on November 20, 1965, in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Polly Benner. Weedy attended Susquenita School District and was previously employed at Pilot, S&S Towing, and Don’s Towing. Most recently, he worked alongside his brother and sister-in-law on their food truck for Williams Custom Catering. A passionate Seattle Seahawks fan, Weedy enjoyed working on cars and cherished moments spent with his family, friends, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his spouse, Kathy Reed; daughters Nicole (Derrick) Hyser of Duncannon and Felicia (Mike) Bechtel of Florida; grandchildren Brandi Shay, Nova Shay, Aidan Hyser, Sadie Shay, Ashton Hyser, Amara Peters, and Amaya Peters; his sister, Sharon Rodriguez of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Weedy was preceded in death by his mother, Polly Benner; brothers Dave Jackson, Ray Reed, and Glenn Reed; and nephew Christopher Jackson.

Services will be held on February 2, 2025, at Watts Township Community Center, 57 Black Snake Rd, Duncannon, PA 17020, with a viewing from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by the service.
