

Martha L. Frailey, 88, of Elizabethtown (Bradenton, FL) joined our Lord and Savior Sept. 10, 2014 at Masonic Village Health Center. Born in Paradise Township, Monroe County to Clinton & Carrie Hobbs Learn, she graduated from Barrett High School as valedictorian. Her professional career touched many lives -from the resort communities of Buck Hill Falls, Shawnee Inn, Skyline Inn to Crowe Insurance, several State Farm agencies & prior to retirement, her daughter’s State Farm agency in Bradenton, FL. As a longtime member of East Stroudsburg Methodist & Oneco United Methodist of Bradenton, Fl., Monroe County Chapter of Eastern Star & local chapter of DAR- her many activities encompassed Sunday School teacher, church pianist at both Keokee Chapel & East Stroudsburg Methodist, singing in choirs, embroidery, shuffleboard and knitting lap blankets donated to Meals on Wheels. In addition, she found time to be a Girl Scout leader & team mom for many of her children’s sports teams. She resided in Stroudsburg until she moved to Ft Myers in 1981 and ultimately Bradenton, FL.
Martha was married March 25, 1955 to Graydon Frailey and he preceded her in death October 27, 1973. She is also preceded in death by her half- brothers, Earl Learn & Melvin Williams, and half-sisters Amy Coffman, Olive Shiffer & Elsie Howell. She is survived by: Her children-Dawn Edinger of Lakewood, NJ; Gregory (Marilyn) Frailey of Williamsport, PA; John(Terrie) Frailey of Middletown, PA and Joan Lipinski of Orlando, FL. - Her grandchildren: Karla(Donald) Erdman of Freemansburg, PA;, Angela (Eamon) Bobowski of Washington, DC; Nathan Frailey of Cody, Wyoming; Bryan Frailey of Williamsport, PA; Marc (Lindsey)Frailey of Harrisburg, PA; Sean(Summer) Frailey of Middletown, PA; Darcy Frailey of N Bethesda, MD; Megan Frailey of Middletown, PA; Andrew, Adam & Michelle Lipinski of Orlando, FL. – Her great grandchildren: Karanda & Joshua Erdman, Felix Bobowski, Eloise & Payton Frailey, Aila Rose Frailey- special friends Anita Campagna, Elizabeth Gregory & niece Brenda Snell. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, John (Arlene) Frailey, Ada Mae Saxton, Elizabeth (Charles) Snyder, Avon Doll and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00AM Saturday September 20th at East Stroudsburg Methodist Church preceded by a short memorial by Eastern Star at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Charities, One Masonic Dr, Elizabethtown, PA 17022; East Stroudsburg Methodist Church, the Alzheimer’s Association.
