

Rachel worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for over 30 years, she retired from the Department of Transportation in 2003. Rachel loved listening to music and singing, reading her bible and being completely involved with the church, she also enjoyed shopping at her favorite store Boscov’s and spending quality time with her family.
Rachel is survived by her four children James Ray Reynolds Jr. (Sheila Morris-Reynolds), Sharon A Reynolds, Pamela S Reynolds, Marcel L. Brown Sr. (Amy Witmer Brown), her twin sister Geraldine Sawyer –Vaughan (Thornton Vaughan), her grandchildren Shadaya Reynolds, Arthur Jefferson James Ray Reynolds III, Lawrence Reynolds, Ciara Reynolds and Marcel Brown Jr., her great grandchildren Imani Reynolds, Jahiem Reynolds Jamir Reynolds -Vasquez, Donovan Anderson, Semaj Reynolds, Aubrey Jefferson, Lawren Reynolds, La’rel Ford, Remiah Brown and great-great grandson Qui’onn Reynolds-Seldon. Rachel leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends that loved her tremendously.
Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Anna (Strickland) and James Ralph Sawyers; brother, Gaither James Sawyers (surviving spouse, Maggie Estelle Sawyers), and sisters, Shirley Shuff and Dorothy Radcliff.
The family has entrusted Zimmerman’s funeral home with her arrangements, the viewing is scheduled for April 10, 2020 at 9 AM with services at 10 AM. Due to COVID-19 only immediate family members will attend services at this time and a future celebration of life will be given at a later date.
