Mr. John A. Zandstra

John A. Zandstra, age 75, of Highland, went to be with his Lord on November 28, 2013. He was born on May 12, 1938. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Karen (Swart); son Dwight (Beth) of Cedar Lake; and daughter Holly (Tom) James of Highland. Six grandchildren; Rein, Willem and Emilia Zandstra; Hannah, Leah and Elisha James. Beloved brother of George (Barb) Zandstra; Jan (Bill) Stammis; Shirley (Ken) Green. Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Gertrude Zandstra and brother Chuck Zandstra. John retired from Amerigas after 34 years of service. He was a charter member of Community United Reformed Church in Schererville, Indiana, where he served many years as an elder. Friends and family may visit on Monday, December 2, 2013, from 4 – 8 PM. At Community United Reformed Church, 8405 Alexander Street, Schererville, IN. 46375. After a private burial at Memory Lane Memorial Park, Schererville, IN, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at Community United Reformed Church on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 with Rev.
