Rose M. Holdmann

Rose M. Holdmann (nee Jamiel), age 95, of Griffith, IN passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018. She is survived by her four children: Pat (P.J.) Hafijchuk, Debbie (Ed) Petersen, Mike (Linda) Holdmann and Chuck (Diane) Holdmann; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister Emelie Norris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Charles; three daughters; parents: Amiel & Emilie Jamiel and nine brothers and sisters. Prayer services will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 525 N. Broad St., Griffith, IN. Entombment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Monday, October 29, 2018 from 3:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m. (prayer service 7:30 p.m.) at Kuiper Funeral Home. Rose was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She was born and raised in Cambridge, Ohio and worked at the family store, Jamiel’s Confectionary. She married Charles in 1960. Rose loved her family and will be dearly missed.
