Luz Maria Enclade, 68, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 after a courageous journey with pancreatic cancer. She was born to Nestor Pinto Garces and Agustina de la torre Mendizabal in Puebla, Mexico on December 26, 1951.
After a chance meeting, Luz fell in love with an Army Soldier, a man who stole her heart named Leo Enclade. Even though they didn’t speak each other’s language, a love flourished between them and they were united in marriage. From that union, two daughters were born. Leo and Luz modeled a true love story for their daughters, evident by their special weekly movie date nights at home complete with the latest Blockbuster VHS movie and popcorn for all.
Luz loved her family fiercely and enjoyed spending time making special meals for them and caring for them. She enjoyed making arts and crafts in her spare time as well. One of the proudest accomplishments Luz achieved was becoming a United States of America Citizen. She was determined to gain her citizenship and realized her dream in 2018, boasting that she was able to take the test in English.
She was the most loving and caring mother to her daughters, but her role as grandmother and her relationship she shared with her grandchildren was what she treasured the most.
Luz Maria was reunited in heaven with the love of her life, a man she spent twenty-one years with, her loving husband, Leo James Enclade; and parents Nestor Pinto Garces and Agustina de la torre Mendizabal.
Left to carry on her legacy are her daughters, Maria de Jesus Vazquez, and Maria Guadalupe and husband Jose David Gonzalez. Her pride and joys, grandsons; Kevin Leo Vazquez, Johann Sebastian Vazquez, Adam Reed Vazquez and her beloved only granddaughter Jocelyn Marie Sanchez. She also leaves behind her brother Jose Nestor Pinto y de la Torre and sister-in-law Fransisca Hernandez Pinto.
Also grieving the loss of Luz is her companion, Stormy, a cat that shared a special bond and will miss her with all heart.
Visitation for Luz will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home 13102 North Freeway Houston, Texas 77060 on Thursday, October 29th, 2020 from 5-7pm. Private family internment will be held at Houston National Cemetery the following day.
