Mercedes Nadal

Mercedes Nadal, 56, of Houston, Texas, passed away on April 25, 2019. She was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on September 21, 1962 to Dr. Rafael A. Nadal and Dr. Esther R. Davila. Mercedes, AKA Meche or Coach, had a career as a teacher and coach for over 20 years. She inspired & molded many young minds through her teaching and coaching. She is preceded in death by her mother, father and eldest brother, Rafael. She is survived by her sister, Ivelisse Nadal-Ammoune; brother, Javier F. Nadal; sister Rita E. Ferrette; nephews Brahim Ammoune, Yousef Ammoune, Paul Anthony Ferrette and niece Marlen Ammoune. She had a passion for sports and loved her Houston Astros and no matter where she was, never missed one of their games. Our sister loved God, her family and her puppies Jaxx and Finn. She will be missed, but will always be in our hearts. A rosary will be held at Forest Park Westheimer, Chapel on Tuesday, May 7th at 7pm. A memorial mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Wednesday May 8th at 10:30am with an interment immediately following at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery; a reception will follow at Forest Park Westheimer funeral home, Event room.
