Allen Hayes Gillespie

Allen Hayes Gillespie, born in Portsmouth, NH, passed away December 8th, 2018 in New Port Richey, Florida at the age of 68, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He loved music, his family and was a huge New England sports team fan, especially his beloved Patriots. Go PATS! Allen was a retired meat cutter. During his career he worked for Pic-N-Pay in Portsmouth, Prescott Farms and Hannaford of Dover, Winn-Dixie and Wal-Mart in Florida. He is preceded by his son Richard Allen Gillespie and his parents Frank Donnon Gillespie, Jr and Florence Gardner Gillespie. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Cynthia Louise Richards Gillespie. His seven siblings, Frank D. Gillespie, III, of Kittery, ME, Deborah (Richard) Walter of Tampa, FL, Bruce (Sharon) Gillespie of Springhill, FL, Judi Gillespie, Dianne (Walt) Gillespie, Bette (Richard) Gillespie, Sandra (Jerry) Gillespie-Meck all of New Port Richey, FL. He was also a much loved and an important part of his extended family. He will be missed by his brothers-in law; Christopher (Donna) Richards Santa Rosa, FL, Dennis (Aimee) Richards Rollinsford, NH, Sister-in-Law Dyana (Ricky) Ledger South Berwick, ME. He was the "favorite" uncle to many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers; the family request that donations be sent to The Ronald McDonald House in Memory of Allen H. Gillespie and his nephew Jacob W. Meck.
