Noble G. Pinkerton, 92 of Warren went to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:38 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Heritage Pointe of Warren. Noble was a 1944 graduate of Banquo High School. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII from 1944 – 1946. He had worked for Mt. Etna Lumber Company for 30 years and later worked as the storage manager at Huntington Memorial Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1988. Noble liked to do woodworking and to walk and enjoy the outdoors.
Noble was born on May 7, 1926 in Roann, Indiana, the son of Noble W. and Florence C. (Garn) Pinkerton.
He was united in marriage to Lucille O. DeHaven, the love of his life on July 20, 1945 at the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2016.
Survivors include a daughter: Connie (Steve) Craw of Gas City; 5 grandchildren: Teresa (Shawn) Scott, Steven Dailey, Sheila (Brian) Cook, Shanna (Jason) Parsley, Hazel Hemmer; 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Lucy Ann Pinkerton, Claudia Frantz; three brothers: Donald Pinkerton, Max Pinkerton, John Pinkerton and a sister: Janet McCutcheon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Applegate Chapel at Heritage Pointe of Warren, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren, Indiana
Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm following visitation at the Applegate Chapel with Gerald O. Moreland officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Etna Cemetery.
