Just received information  on his passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know Frances is taking good care of him. She loved him so.  He was such a character.  He always made us laugh. Sandy always wanted to go see him. She couldn't get enough of him. 
I can just imagine the stories George, Frances and him are sharing in Heaven

I first Meet Brett around age 13 while I was helping my Uncle Lee Lewis Jr. And stayed friends. I'm so sorry for y'alls lost and I too will miss the bigger than life laugh of Brett man I miss you so much. Brett you and Lee Jr. Hold me a seat at the fun table and I will see you both again. Love you guys 

Our prayers and thoughts are with your family at this devastating time . I (Cristi Bell) didn't know him as well as my husband Nick Bell  did but after the loss of Nick he reached out to me with his condolences . He was so very kind and I appreciated it very much.  May God bring you comfort and if there's ever anything I can do please let me know.  We are so sorry for your loss.  Love always the family of Nick Bell. 
       

The first time I saw Brett was on the dance floor of Sam Wilson's,  shortly after returning to Independence from college in the early 80's. Our friendship grew through mutual friends and I always looked forward to seeing him when out and about. Even when we ran into each other years later he greeted me with a handshake or a hug and of course that big smile of his. Brett will surely be missed.

Brett was always a nice man to speak to. He will be missed. 

In the span of a lifetime we meet many people, most of whom for whatever reason merely fill that moment. In that same lifetime we meet a few magnanimous personalities filled with character and generosity few can match. Brett was one of those few for me. His overwhelming need to help and to have a good time  to be the curator of family first and formost will stand long and strong with me. I knew him but for a moment leaving an everlasting mark on why I do what I do.. see you in a dirt pile on the other side my man

So many memories, from back to high school days til just a few years ago.  4 wheel drive pickups, Noland Rd. Construction jobs, especially hunting camp in north Missouri. 
 You'll be missed, AND remembered!

Big heart Brett. Always the life of the party. Always gracious and treated me with the utmost respect. My sincere condolences to his family, which will no doubt miss him greatly. 

I sure enjoyed Brett, alway a GREAT time and LAUGHS, He was so proud of his family and a BIG HEART.  I will miss him.  Love Terry Beebe
